The Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, is located at the entrance to the Garden of the Gods park a 1,320-acre Colorado Springs city park, this is one of Colorado’s most beautiful natural wonders. The Garden’s sandstone rock formations soar skyward along the base of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains, forming a spectacular playground for hikers, picnickers, and rock climbers.

We’re the Garden’s Visitor & Nature Center's Exclusive Guide Service

Front Range Climbing Company, has partnered with the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, as their exclusive rock climbing concessionaire guide service. We offer an introductory two-hour climbing session as well as half-day and full-day guided climbing trips that explore the Garden’s cliffs and spires. Learn to Rock Climb with Us

Our guided rock climbing trips run from basic climbing on easy routes in our introductory sessions to longer classes and lessons that teach you how to learn the skills necessary to become a climber. Some trips take you around the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, allowing you to reach lofty sky-scraping summits. On all of our climbing trips you will:

· Familiarize yourself with rock climbing safety, technique, and equipment.

· Learn basic climbing knots and how to belay.

· Learn the fundamentals of top-rope climbing.

Climbs for Beginners to Experts

Rock climbing with Front Range Climbing Company offers fun for all ages and abilities! At the Garden of the Gods you will climb easy beginner routes up slabs or test your finger and arm strength on vertical rock faces. Spectacular and airy routes are found on the park’s many spires, with climbers ending up atop tiny summits that are only reached by those with rock climbing skills.

The Cliff Hanger

2-Hour Introduction to Rock Climbing
Never climbed before? Then take the Cliff Hanger, our basic two-hour introduction to rock climbing trip. You’ll meet up with your climbing guide at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, get outfitted with gear, and then head out to the cliffs where you’ll sample the Garden’s best easy climbing routes. These climbing tours, meet at the Visitor & Nature Center, and run every two-and-a-half hours four times a day. Sign up at our kiosk at the Visitor & Nature Center and get climbing! The Vertical Limit

1/2 Day (4 Hour) Explore the Garden’s Cliffs
For the beginner and intermediate climber. The four-hour Vertical Limit climbing trip offers lots of climbing, a rappel, and the opportunity to master climbing techniques. Learn basic rock climbing skills, including equipment, knots, belaying, descending, and climbing movement. Climb four to six routes around the Garden and cap your day off with an exciting rappel. Have a certain climb you want to do at the Garden? Remember that our four-hour trips can be custom tailored to make your own climbing adventure. Another option is our exciting “North Gateway Summit Climb,” which ascends to the top of the park’s highest formation and then descends via exciting rappels. Touching the Void

Full Day (6 Hour) The Full Summit Experience

For the beginner to advanced climber. Our six-hour Garden of the Gods trip gives you a full-day climbing experience. Pick from a variety of itineraries or let us help you create your own. Just let us know what you want to do and we’ll accommodate your climbing needs. You can climb lots of routes on the cliffs or work your way up all the small towers, including sheer Montezuma Tower, The Three Graces, and Easter Rock. Or perhaps you’ll want the full-meal deal by experiencing our “Five Summits Grand Tour,” which takes you to the airy summits of the Garden’s five major rock formations. The Garden of the Gods park and the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is located only 10 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs and Interstate 25. The park is an hour south of Denver via Interstate 25. From Denver, follow I-25 south to the Garden of the Gods Road exit (Exit 146). Drive west on Garden of the Gods Road to 30th Street where you turn left. Drive south on 30th Street for a couple miles to the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Make a left turn into the Visitor & Nature Center. Go to the upper level to the Front Range Climbing Company kiosk to check in for your climbing trip.

Class/Trip Requirements and Cancellation Policy:
1) In order to expedite your experience for the trips/classes, you may email, fax or mail your waiver/release forms to us prior to the class or trip.
2) The maximum student to teacher ration is 1:4.
3) Our weather policy is to notify you the night before the class up to & no later than the morning of the trip if the weather is going to cause a cancellation. If WE cancel the trip due to inclement weather, then you have the option to reschedule the class for a later date or receive a full refund.
4) If you need to cancel or reschedule for reasons other than weather, you must notify Front Range Climbing Company 48 hours prior. This is mandatory in order to receive a full refund or reschedule.
5) To receive a 50% refund a 36 hour notice is required. Otherwise, the class will be considered cancelled and no refund will be given.
