Castlewood Canyon:
The ruins of the century-old Castlewood Canyon Dam form the centerpiece of the park and lead visitors to hiking trails that wind their way into the deepest regions of the canyon. Attractions in the park include the dramatic canyon walls, unique ruins and hiking the scenic loop trails that roam both thebottom of the canyon and the rim.
Castlewood State Park offers opportunities for sightseeing,
picnicking, hiking, nature study and of course ROCK CLIMBING.

Location:
Castlewood Canyon is located in central Colorado, south of the Denver metropolitan area and east of Castle Rock. Take Colorado Highway 83 south approximately 5 miles past the intersection with Colorado Highway 86. The entrance is on the right (west).

- Water, 3 to 4 bottles is recommended
